lucien falize

One of my favourite pendants of all time by the pendant master, Lucien Falize. Saw this pendant for the first time when I was a kid and I am still in love with it..

This site says that the purple stone in the centre of the piece  is a sapphire, however I have a book that disagrees with that saying that its an amethyst... My guess would be amethyst too but I can not be sure since I havent seen it irl. Does anyone know what kind of stone it is?

1965 bulgari

At times I wonder if you  get my sarcasm, I think it is obvious when I am sarcastic but in case you missed it then you know now.. Though about the Bulgari necklace in the previous post I was a 100 percent sincere, its gonna happen! Nevermind that now lets see some facts about this pretty thing! Its made of yellow gold with diamonds, turquoises, amethysts and emeralds. There are also a pair of matching earrings and the whole set once belonged to Lyn Revson (whos jewellery collection was legendaaary) , wife of Charles Revson who founded Revlon... Imagien that

Heres another really cool pair of earrings from Decades, if I remember correctly these are YSL. Love.

Yesterday I discovered a blog that I absolutley adore for their posts of vintage jewellery. It's called Decades (follow them here!) I came across their blog in the search of finding some cool vintage earrings to show you. The first pair I found on their site was these belov. (Ofcourse all photocreds go to Decades Inc, though I have drafted the original photo)

And I do appreciate their sense of humor;
