lucien falize

One of my favourite pendants of all time by the pendant master, Lucien Falize. Saw this pendant for the first time when I was a kid and I am still in love with it..

This site says that the purple stone in the centre of the piece  is a sapphire, however I have a book that disagrees with that saying that its an amethyst... My guess would be amethyst too but I can not be sure since I havent seen it irl. Does anyone know what kind of stone it is?

 Four months ago I came across a blog called thirty six ten, the woman behind it is the designer of all these gorgeous creations. Folkloric love but still very modern..

Chinese Haute Couture  designer Guo Pei made this creation last year.. I think.. Love love love it, even though  it is a bit kitsch.. it's just so impressive and inspiring with all those details. Wowza.

From time to time I visit Mr Yvan Rodic's (aka Face Hunter) site for some inspiration.. I love the way he captures people, he makes all his subjects look so damn good.. Anyway back to the point, I love looking at his pictures  because of all the details; read: the jewellery. Lol. Though I my opinion he does not photograph jewellery nearly enough.

school ball ring

For my school ball (swedish prom) I asked my father for a big chunky ring, with a cool edgyness to it.. Anyhow he gave me the ring above and good lord how I hated it! In my eyes it was sooo ugly ha ha, I still don't like it but I don't feel the same discontentment.. I returned it to him- first chance I got, with a very Big complaint.. what a brat I was -.-

Now  when I come to think about it I totally think he should have given me something like the one down here... yum yum..

1965 bulgari

At times I wonder if you  get my sarcasm, I think it is obvious when I am sarcastic but in case you missed it then you know now.. Though about the Bulgari necklace in the previous post I was a 100 percent sincere, its gonna happen! Nevermind that now lets see some facts about this pretty thing! Its made of yellow gold with diamonds, turquoises, amethysts and emeralds. There are also a pair of matching earrings and the whole set once belonged to Lyn Revson (whos jewellery collection was legendaaary) , wife of Charles Revson who founded Revlon... Imagien that
