look what i found!

Yes that is a brooch though you'd probably never guess that. Made it some years ago when I was bored, must have been thirtteen and my father had kicked me out of the workshop for no apparent reason other than that I was persisten in learning to handle some machine which he thought inappropriate. So I ended up outside with some silver wire,  a cheap brooch platform  and some crystals my mum had bought in Prague for me. Remebering my irritation and anger at the time I also recollect my suprise when I actually managed to produce  something wearable...okay that is debatable, but you know what I mean...

Like these pieces very much. I love everything except for the skull on the last piece. Dislike it strongly.

weird engraving..

The backside of a brooch that my father (made) and gave to my mother. The inscription has gotten to my head. It says "doron" in greek which means gift... Why would he write that? It's quite obvious that it is a gift..(right?).. on other pieces he gave her there are engravings too, most of whom make Do make (some kind) of  sense... =P

hm winter magazine, how could I?

How could I miss this campaign/editorial last winter? And it's H&M! I'm usually NOT a fan of THEIR jewelley collections. But these thingies look cool especially the first pic, would not mind that necklace .... Damn. But then again it is photographed by Terry Richardson who is good at what he does.. and Chanel Iman is also good at what she does.. These pictures are doin' their thing which is selling and creating a need. ..lol..

Blake Lively the other day at the Scream awards in Los Angeles. She is wearing Lavin head-to-toe. And the reason for posting these pics are the brooch she has strapped on the harness. It actually belongs to the dress, the outfit is right of the runway! Zircone diamonds and some sapphires. Lovely eventhough it is sorta strange to have an insect play the statement of a dress...

I adore these two above, the first one looks sooo Isadora Duncan inspired/greek godess with that snake necklace, greaaat couture piece. I think some famous modell (sorry I dont remember who) wore that necklacea while ago along with two real snakes(!!!)

Just one last thing, I know that I'm writing about jewellery here but since I publish many editorial photos here I feel a frank need to express my irritation over the socalled beauty ideal... Like this modell above, she is facialy gorgeous, breathtaking, a few kilos more (I'm not sayn' ten but like three) would not look too bad on her. Just a parenthisis, dont kill me, I know that alot of people like the skinny ideal, and thats cool, thin can look nice, if it looks natural...

Love the  necklace above, a statement piece eventhough it is of 'low profile'. I actually love the whole ensemble above, necklace, jumper and skirt. Feeling a build- up of cravings for this..

You can not see it clearly in this picture (too small) but the earrings Karmen is wearing in this pic are like old fashioned discoballs that kids had in their rooms during the late ninties, at least in Europe..
